About Me

My photo
Berwick
Houma, LA, United States
My father was a World War II marine and Iwo Jima survivor. After the war he returned to Bayou Country in Southeast Louisiana and built a fishing camp and used it to the fullest until it was destroyed by Hurricane Andrew. I was fortunate to spend lots of time around boats with my dad from the time I was in diapers, until his passing late in life. Alexis and I married in 1974, and owned a variety of fishing boats. We bought our first trawler in 2002, and switched from fishing to a cruising lifestyle. We completed the great loop in 2014 aboard the Moondance, a Mainship 43' aft cabin. We currently own a 2000 60' Jefferson Motor Yacht. It stays at Longboat Key Marina in the Sarasota area, and we use her as much as we can.
