Scenes from the Tennessee River.

It is 469 miles from the beginning of the Tennessee River to Chattanooga. After Green Turtle Bay,  we spent two nights at marinas due to bad weather.  While the marinas were nice, the towns were small and did not offer much.  We finally have nice weather, and have now been anchoring along the river on our way.  There is commercial traffic, but not as many or as big as on the Mississippi.

The scenery is beautiful  The fall colors are just beginning here.

We took the dinghy up a slough.  Fish everywhere, and I had no rod!

Fellow Loopers, Dan and Susan (with wiener dog Lola).

I know, I have a duck blind fetish, but this is the best yet.

We had a great night at this anchorage and had the best star gazing yet. Coyotes howled at night, replacing the dancing geese as our evening entertainment.

The new homes here have to be built to the new flood standards, just like ours.

We try to leave at first light, but fog sometimes delays our departure.
