Southward bound.

It has been a great stay here at Highbourne Cay.  Several cold fronts have come through while we have been here and the marina basin is very protected.  The fronts that have been playing havoc with the US are reaching here, and last night I had to wear a jacket to dinner, as it was a frigid 65 degrees!  We have snorkeled most days via the dinghy.  It is only a 5 minute ride to great reefs, depending on the wind direction.  Tomorrow we head to Staniel Cay where Alexis will leave for a week to visit her father who is not doing so well. Thursday she hops on a prop plane to Ft Lauderdale, and Southwest to New Orleans.  It was surprisingly easy to set up.  The hardest thing was finding a seat from Lauderdale to New Orleans, as most were booked.  We will stop at the Exuma Land and Sea Park on our way to Staniel.  This is a link to the park’s website:  http://www.exumapark.org/ExumaParkHome/tabid/36/Default.aspx.  We will be without Wi-Fi to Staniel, so won’t be posting for a while.
This vessel delivers supplies to the resort.  Note the yacht beyond the seawall.  It drug anchor and ended up with a sunk tender and on a reef!  It limped into the marina and the crew was sent home on a seaplane...
