Miami Beach

We are at the Miami Beach Marina, at the foot of South Beach.  $215 a day-ouch!  Location is everything.  We will explore tomorrow, and take care of some work issues today.  The Atlantic is accessible via Government Cut next to us, so when the weather is right we will jump off to Bimini, although that may not be for a week.  I enjoy your comments, and think I have made it easier to comment by changing the settings.

Our satellite weather shows why we can't cross to Bimini!  We are the black boat symbol.  The arrows point the way the storms are moving.

    How close to the AIRPORT is the Miami Beach Marina?

    $215/night isn't that bad; as long as YOU are paying for it!

    Have fun guys - you only go around once in life make the most of it!

    Great pics. Don't stay there too long or you may have to give them the boat. Hope this arctic blast of cold temps doesn't affect you too much. We are expecting temps on the northern gulf coast in the upper teens to low twenties on Mon & Tues night depending of whose forecast you believe. We went over to the boat today and put a small portable heater on board and a couple of 100 watt incandescent bulbs burning in the engine room and near the water tanks. Hopefully that will be just enough. Hope you get your weather window soon.
